NY NY!

I've been planning a trip to NY for the past few years...Yes few years. I always wondered why I didnt make it to NY for a long time when it was just a 4hr trip.
Like most people, I wanted to see ground zero, capture the famous NY skyline, capture some of the Hudson river to see where Captain Sully made the miracle landing and just capture New Yorkers being New Yorkers.
I opted for a day trip to save some money and I got one of my friends to take me around. The trip was fun apart from the cold and the Chinatown bus (coach2000) ordeal.
I am definitely making the trip back in the summer.
Enjoy the pix!

Owen turns 1!

JEMOWEN (link) have become part of my photography. One of my goals with photography was to build an outfit that documents people's lives. I wanted an outfit that followed people over a period of time and tracked changes and developments using pictures. Although I have not been able to track everyone I photographed, I have had sessions with JEMOWEN at least once every quarter.
Now Owen is one and I can say I have covered the first year of his life. I'm filled with joy whenever I look over Owen's pictures and see how he has grown over the past year.
For the party, JEMOWEN decided to have a "Cupcakes and Tacos" party (never heard anything like it before). We had gourmet tacos and some well iced cupcakes that got you jumping for joy. They also had family from out of town come celebrate. I can't forget Caleb (little boy with the plaid shirt) who was initially terrified by the size of my camera but ended up giving me some good shots.

Events like this make me enjoy my photography. Thanks JEMOWEN!
Enjoy!

PS: One of Owen's gifts was a camera...Uhmm!

Khyron and Stephanie

Kyh and Steph are my peeps! I've known both of them for a few years now. On one lucky Sunday a couple months ago, the weather was unexpectedly nice. "Fortunately", I had my camera and I asked them if they wanted to go to a park (a little out of their way) to take some pictures. They said yes and as always, they put a big smile on my face.
Big thanks to Khy and Steph for the impromptu shoot.
Enjoy!

Funke and Tunde

As I said in my last post, I did a couple shoots for my Sister and Bro in-law to be when I was home for Xmas. Before I went home, I sent my Sis a few links so she could get ideas for pictures. Funke found a park right behind our house. I had seen the park a few times but I always thought of famous places in London when I thought of their pictures. The session turned out well...it just took Funke and Tunde a while to relax. As soon as they were relaxed, I didn't even need to give instructions.

Enjoy!
