Cherry Cherry Everywhere!

So its Tidal Basin time = Cherry Blossom time in DC. And even with the economy, tourism in DC is just 3% below it highest ever. So why not join the crowd and become a tourist for a day!

I had planned on taking some shots on Sunday but the weather was supposed to be bad. I looked out the window around noon on Sunday and saw the beautiful blue sky, then I said: aint no way I'm gonna miss this...then a bunch of us got in the car and headed out. The rest is history.

The Night!

So I had a soccer game at 11pm on Thur. While waiting I decided to work on my nighttime photography skill. This opened up a can of worms...Ive been taking these pix for a couple days now. 

Apart from me standing on my balchony without a jacket and getting cold, its pretty cool! The way different types of lights illuminate aspects of the image is very facinating.

Georgetown

One of my good friends is getting married and he asked me to take a couple pix of him and his lady in Georgetown on Saturday. Saturday was way nicer than expected. So I decided to go back on Sunday. 

On Sat, we were in Gtown around 10am, way before folks were out of bed and the place was empty. Sunday was a completely different story. The place was packed!

3... 2... And you are on! Dont know about you but I have been waiting a while for this blog. I am Gbenga Idowu, GI, B, Lubeng etc (kind of depends on where/how we met).

I am a photographer. I work mainly with the Nikon D300.
